Since the beginning we aim at purveying premium and durable accessories for daily use while fighting against the over-consumption of disposable gears.
We collect leftover yarns from Veneto knitters and spinners, and we knit them into new products in limited quantities and mixed colors, depending on what is collected. Therefore our masks come in a limited edition, and new colors will be developed depending on what is collected.
Reimiro is the name of a crescent-shaped pectoral ornament once worn by the people of Easter Island, the most remote inhabited place on earth. The crescent itself may refer to the moon or the traditional Rapa Nui boats, the only travel mode for inhabitants. The outer display side had two small pierced bumps through which a cord was strung for hanging it. The inner side contained a cavity that was filled with chalk made from powdered seashells.
“Whether an island such as Easter Island can be considered remote is simply a matter of perspective.
Those who live there, the Rapa Nui, call their homeland Te Pito Te Henua, 'the navel of the world'.
Any point on the infinite globe of the Earth can become a centre.”
